This one-day workshop introduces teachers to key concepts to help students make sense of number concepts*

It can be difficult to know what to do when students fall behind in mathematics.

This workshop provides real answers to some of the most challenging parts of teaching, backed up by improvement data from both PATM and NAPLAN.

Course participants choose a class, then observe a live lesson in which Tierney Kennedy diagnoses and fixes misconceptions in key number concepts, using conceptual-change questioning.

Participants deconstruct student understanding in Place Value, Proportional Reasoning and Multiplicative Thinking, focusing on underlying misconceptions and diagnostic strategies to identify issues.
