We are so excited to welcome you to our webinar masterclass for 2023!
Sessions will run after school on a Wednesday, twice per term. Each webinar will consist of two different topics, so that you can choose to attend both or just one depending on your needs! Session A will be pedagogy or technique based and Session B will be content based. Each session will run for 30-40 minutes, followed by time for questions.
As a subscriber you are invited to join in live if you are available, or simply access the recordings at a later time. All subscribers will have access to all recordings and handouts for the duration of 2023 as well as certificates for 16 hours of training.

A: A teaching-learning cycle: where misconceptions, problem solving, strategy teaching and interleaved/spaced practise fit across a week
B: Decimal numbers, links to fractions and converting length measurements (mostly suitable for years 4-9)

A: How to divide your attention: getting to everyone, tracking who did what, and planning for responsive teaching
B: Multiplicative and Structural thinking, including the importance of teaching division (F-9)
- Wednesday 7th June
A: Assessment, Grading and Reporting to Parents
B: Connecting length, time and angles (F-9)
- Wednesday 26th July
A: Questioning for effective teaching: techniques, types of questions and patterns to implement
B: Operating with fractions (mostly suitable for years 4-9)
- Wednesday 30th August
A: Designing modelling tasks and investigations with real kick
B: Collecting, analysing, interpreting and graphing data (F-9)
- Wednesday 25th October
A: Techniques for tricky situations: do your students feel anxious, hate maths, avoid hard problems or just coast through?
B: Linear functions and post-it note algebra (mostly suitable for years 4-9)
- Wednesday 22nd November
A: How to interpret your data (PAT, NAPLAN and triangulation with school-based grading)
B: Fun with patterning (mostly suitable for years F-3)
