SA: Designing modelling tasks and statistical investigations for AC v9 hosted by Greenwith Primary School on 18 May 23

Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum require students to engage in mathematical modelling tasks and statistical investigations from year 3 onwards to meet the achievement standards.

This is a very new approach for most schools and will require significant time and effort from teachers to prepare for over the coming year. This professional learning day will not only teach you what you need to know about the changes, it will also give you the skills to write your own tasks and provide attendees with exclusive access to a bank of tasks complete with assessment criteria.

In this professional development day, you will:

• Unpick the new AC v9 requirements
• Design tasks that match your context, including for multi-age classes and with matched A-E assessment criteria

Following the course you will receive:

• Exclusive access to a bank of modelling tasks and investigations created by course participants for 12 months
• All-new A-E criteria written for AC v9 by Tierney Kennedy to use with your tasks
